Angel Corps

The Angel Corps is a company in our area that provides services for individuals who need extra help with daily functions at home.  Many times, an elderly or disabled individual will not have a loved one available to help him or her – yet the individual in need is not ready to leave the home.  Busy schedules and proximity may hinder the ability to effectively help a loved one in need.

Angel Corps is an approved provider for various funding programs for Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana.  Such programs include:  CHOICE, SSBG, Medicaid Waivers and the Family Caregiver Program.  The cost of these services may also be paid by your insurance company or by the Veterans Administration.

Angel Corps provides dependable, qualified caregivers for an elderly or disabled individual.  The Angel Corps attendants (personal care attendants and companions) will visit the individual at home in his or her comfortable setting.  Angel Corps also has qualified employees who specialize in the care of older adults and disabled individuals.  Their goal is to improve the quality of life for their clients by offering support, care and companionship.

If an attendant is requested or needed, that person may offer assistance in a variety of ways.  Some services that the attendant may perform include, but are not limited to:  personal care, bathing, dressing, hair/nail/skin care, toileting, laundry, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, mobility assistance and transportation to appointments.  In that same vein, a companion may be able to assist with the maintenance of social interaction, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and transportation to appointments.

An estimated cost for someone who privately pays for attendant care is $18.00/hour.  If an individual needs companion care, the estimated cost is approximately $16.00/hour.
